Half the links in a ten-year-old article are already dead. Anything you publish that outlives a website — a citation, a QR code on something printed, a dataset, a reference someone follows in a decade — is a bet that somebody keeps paying a hosting bill.
We took the bill out of it.
Your file isn't on our servers. It's on a storage network that was paid, once, to keep it for the next two centuries.
We can't take the link back or point it somewhere else. Not “we promise not to” — we gave up the ability, permanently, and you can check.
You get two addresses. yourname.persist.click is the one
to share. The second is a permanent address for the file itself — any Arweave
gateway serves it, including ones we have nothing to do with.
If we go out of business, the second one still works.

GoDaddy .com renewal $21.99/yr, September 2026, assuming you host free. One year of a domain costs more than this does ever. And free hosting tiers get discontinued too — Heroku ended theirs in 2022.
This isn't a replacement for a domain. It's for keeping one thing reachable, permanently, without anyone having to remember.

Unlike the link, your mail depends on us.
As often as you like. Every version stays reachable at its own address, so a link someone saved last year still shows what they saw — and new visitors get your latest.
Your file is already paid for on a storage network we don't run, and the record of who owns it isn't ours to revoke. We give you a permanent address for the file itself — keep it somewhere. Any Arweave gateway will serve it, so it doesn't depend on us or on any one company staying up.
Being precise: the friendly address yourname.persist.click runs on our
nameservers, so that one would stop. The permanent address wouldn't.

You get yourname@persist.click, included, and it's tied to the
link. A message from it provably comes from whoever controls the content —
so people can write to you about what you published without you telling
them your name. Set it up in Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird or your
phone; there's no webmail, so you'll need a mail app.
Two honest limits. Mail is the one thing here that isn't permanent — if we disappear, your link and your file carry on and your mailbox doesn't. And you're unnamed to the people writing to you, not to us: we know who paid, and a court could make us say. Don't rely on this if your safety depends on it.
