What you're buying

In plain words, before you spend anything. Last updated 19 September 2026.

Free managed hosting

A verified email account can create one free website at yourname.persist.click, with 100 MiB including its generated pages. New free names must be 10–40 characters long; existing names keep working. Free websites include a managed .persist Handshake address as well as the .persist.click address. Published files are public. PinThis stores the current website for us, and a replacement becomes live after its storage is verified. Free hosting depends on the service continuing to operate; it does not include permanent version history or a transferable .persist name. You can connect a domain you already own and forward up to 100 email messages per calendar month.

Persist Forever — $20 once

A new .persist name costs $20, once, and can be bought now. It comes with the permanent folder described below. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.

You can also upgrade your existing managed website to this same $20 package. The website must fit within 100 MiB. Its current files and future publications become permanent. Any separate paid hosting subscription continues until you cancel it in Billing.

The current ArNS address, yourname_persist, is an undername managed under Persist's shared ArNS name, not an independently owned ArNS registration. Export of the .persist ownership token does not transfer that shared ArNS name or its management.

Your yourname.persist.click web address depends on Persist's hosting. Control of a .persist name is recorded in its registry; resolution also depends on the naming infrastructure. The Forever package includes permanent storage for its published versions; our web hosting address and gateway availability are separate from that storage.

Paid managed hosting

The yearly plan is $10 per year for 100 GB storage and 1 TB of visitor delivery per paid year. The monthly plan is $10 per month for 1.5 TB storage and 3 TB of visitor delivery per paid month. Both renew automatically. Cancel future renewals, update your card, and download invoices in Billing. After the paid period ends, the free storage allowance applies; existing files are retained, but new publications must fit the current allowance.

Extra visitor delivery is off by default. You may authorize it at $2/TB with a spending limit of up to $100 per billing period. Actual extra delivery is billed after the period ends, prorated and rounded once to the next cent, within the authorized limit. Totals under $0.50 are waived. Delivery pauses when the included allowance and selected limit are exhausted. Lowering your limit does not cancel charges already incurred.

Visitor delivery counts response-body bytes sent to visitors, including cache hits, downloads and partial playback. A storage recovery does not itself count as visitor delivery. Paid plans use decimal GB and TB. Each file can be up to 100 MiB. Folder and generated-page limits are checked before publication.

Preserve a version on Arweave

A confirmed snapshot costs $5 per 100 MB, paid once, prorated to the next cent with a $0.50 minimum checkout. The quote includes originals and generated pages, counting identical stored bytes once. It covers that exact snapshot; future revisions require a separate purchase. It includes an ArNS address for your latest purchased snapshot. It does not buy Handshake name ownership or change your managed hosting. Free, Monthly and Yearly hosting alone do not publish to ArNS.

Your managed copy remains available while the Arweave snapshot is uploaded, confirmed and verified. Billing shows its progress and permanent archive address. Permanent storage does not promise that our hosting address or any one gateway will operate forever.

The permanent-storage purchase

$20, once, for a name and the folder under it. This is the forever domain names and forever publishing package. There is no subscription and nothing to renew or cancel. The price includes 100 MB of storage and 100 published updates to the folder; every version you publish is kept. The service enforces a 100 MiB maximum per website (104,857,600 bytes), including generated pages. The initial welcome page is included without consuming one of your 100 updates.

What "permanent" means, and what it costs you

On the permanent plan, anything you publish is public and permanent. Your files go to Arweave, a storage network that is paid once to keep them for the long term. You can add files, replace them, and change what the folder shows — but you cannot unpublish what is already there, and neither can we. That is the point of the product, and it is the part to be sure about before you upload something.

So: don't put anything in a folder that you would need to take back. If you publish something by mistake, tell us — we can stop serving it at yourname.persist.click, but the copy on the storage network stays reachable by its own address, and nobody can change that.

Who holds the name

The name is an ownership record on a public network (Optimism). We hold it for you at first, so that you can buy with a card and never deal with crypto. Any time you like, the export option in Settings → Advanced moves it into a wallet of your own; after that nobody can move it but you, us included. Until then, we could — that is the trade that makes the card checkout possible, and it is yours to end whenever you want.

You can also hand the name to someone else by email, or sell it. It moves the way a deed moves.

Included names

Monthly and Yearly hosting include one managed name of 4–40 characters for the paid term. An existing free website can stay alongside it. The managed Handshake address requires an active plan after that term; the website files are retained. Forever names are also 4–40 characters for new purchases and are included permanently. Existing shorter names are preserved. An Arweave snapshot purchase preserves content separately and does not change your name entitlement.

Mail

Every website, including a free website, can use yourname@persist.click, forwarded to an address you choose, up to 100 messages a month. This is independent of the Forever package. The limit resets each calendar month (UTC). It's a forwarder, not a mailbox: replies come from your own address.

Refunds

If it isn't what you expected, email hello@persist.click and we'll refund you. No form and no argument. We'd rather have the feedback than the $20.

Two things a refund can't undo: files already published stay on the storage network (see above), and a name already moved into your own wallet is yours — we have no way to take it back.

What we don't promise

We're a new and very small operation, live since September 2026. We don't promise persist.click will still be here in ten years — we've built it so that it doesn't have to be. Your files keep their own permanent address at any Arweave gateway, and confirmed ArNS addresses can also resolve through the ar.io gateway network. Those ArNS undernames are managed under our shared name; their management is not transferred by exporting the .persist token. The yourname.persist.click address is the one that depends on us.

We don't promise a service level, and we're not a backup service: keep your own copies of anything that matters.

Rules

Don't publish anything illegal, and don't use the mail forwarder to send bulk mail. If you do, we'll stop serving the folder at our address and stop forwarding the mail. We can't remove what's already on the storage network, which is another reason to be careful about what goes in.

Us

persist.click, run from the United States. Questions, problems, refunds and anything else: hello@persist.click — a person reads it.
